My new addiction

Diagnosis X on Discovery Health. I have been watching 3 hours of this show LOL Love it.

This is what it is about……

When you walk into a hospital, you think doctors have all the answers. They don’t. Diagnosis X reveals the true stories of doctors following a trail of evidence to save their patients’ lives. Every episode features two young, charismatic, REAL doctors, who reveal the high-stakes emotion that surrounds an elusive diagnosis. Our real doctors are surrounded by a compelling cast of recurring actors, and together the physicians and Diagnosis X actors bring each story to life. The team works around the clock to unravel the dramatic – and sometimes shocking – medical diagnosis.

Mom

A baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth
tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and
helpless?” God said, “Your angel will be waiting for you and
will take care of you.”

The child further inquired, “But tell me, here in heaven I don’t
have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.”
God said,”Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for
you. And you will feel your angel’s love and be very happy.”

Again the child asked, “And how am I going to be able to
understand when people talk to me if I don’t know the
language?” God said, “Your angel will tell you the most
beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with
much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to
speak.”

“And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?”
God said, “Your angel will place your hands together and
will teach you how to pray.”

“Who will protect me?”
God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means
risking its life.”

“But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.”
God said, “Your angel will always talk to you about Me and
will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I
will always be next to you.”

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices
from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked,
“God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.”

God said, You will simply call her, “Mom.”

Lift a mother’s spirit, send this to every mother you know
(no matter how old her child is).

Sick Day

Marius woke up this morning SO sick. Poor kid had crawled into bed with me, you will see why this is no surprise in a second. So this morning I wake up and I hear him coughing really bad, I turn to face him JUST in time to see him throw up ALL over my bed!! Poor thing was crying, I jumped out of bed, walked him into the bathroom, told him if he had to throw up anymore to do it in the toilet, them got a towel and I was getting it wet to try and clean him up and he says “*sob* can you please *sob* HELP ME” OMG I wanted to cry. By then Ernie heard us and came running in.

Marius pretty much just layed around and slept all day. He threw up, or coughed and spit up as he says, a few more times this morning but he is doing much better now.

I passed on a tradition also. The throw up pan I used as a kid (which was actually a little containter that I had my first bath in when I was a baby) has been passed to the next generation.

Oh, I also learned that Marius shakes his head after he throws up just like me. He’s my mini me :)

Grandma Alice’s Birthday

Yesterday was Ernie’s mom birthday, her first one since she passed away last year. So we went to the store, and let Marius pick out some cupcakes. Brought them home and lit candles for her.

Marius blew the candles out for her =). It was nice way of remembering her. Lil Ernie came over for the afternoon, then Mark came over that night. I know it helped Ernie having his family around!! We had a great night, just talking and remembering good times, and some not so good but funny times LOL.

The Trailer

ok, so my parents have a towing trailer, it is here right now because my dad brought out the sand rail and a dirt bike for us to play with. BUT they are going to be getting a vacation house out here soon hopefully so they are going to need to borrow it back.

I mentioned something to Ernie about it, Marius caught it and FREAKED on us. He was crying and yelling They can’t take it!! It’s MINE. you tell Grandpa NO.

Yeah sure, I will get right on that.Telling Grandpa no LMAO. He even talked to Gramma and she offered to rent the dang thing and he was still upset LOL. He seems to be over it now, finally, hours later. But I am NOT mentioning the trailer again around him!!!

This is a true story, verified by snopes.com

Tis the star-spangled banner, oh! long may it wave, O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a Social Studies teacher at Robinson High School in Little Rock, did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor took all of the desks out of the classroom. The kids came into first period, they walked in to find there were no no desks. They looked around and said, “Ms. Cothren, where’s our desk?” She said, “You can’t have a desk until you tell me how you earn them.” They thought, “Well, maybe it’s our grades.” “No,” she said. “Maybe it’s our behavior.” She told them

She told them, “No, it’s not even your behavior.” They first period came and went…still no desks in the classroom. Second period, third period, same thing. By early afternoon television news crews had gathered in Ms. Cothren’s classroom to find out about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out. For the last period of the day Martha Cothren gathered her class. They were at this time sitting on the floor around the sides of the room. She says, “Throughout the day no one has really understood how you earn the desks that ordinarily sit in this classroom. Now I’m going to tell you

Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it and as she did 27 U.S. veterans, wearing their uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk and they placed those school desks in rows and then they stood along the wall. By the time they had finished placing those desks, those kids for the first time perhaps in their lives understood how they earned those desks. Martha said, “You don’t have to earn those desks. These guys did it for you. They put them out there for you, but it’s up to you to sit here responsibly to learn, to be good students and good citizens, because they paid a price for you to have that desk. Don’t ever forget it.”

My friend, I think sometimes we forget that the freedoms that we have are freedoms not because of celebrities. The freedoms are because of ordinary people who did extraordinary things, who loved this country more than life itself and who not only earned a school desk for a kid at the Robinson High School in Little Rock, but who earned a seat for you and me to enjoy this great land we call home, this wonderful nation that we better love enough to protect and preserve with the kind of conservative, solid values and principles that made us a great nation. We live in the Land of the Free because of the Brave REMEMBER OUR TROOPS
